The Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia are considered to be the most sensitive regions to global climate change, driven by cross-spheric interactions. Changes in these regions have a significant impact on the living environment and societal developments. The rapid development of satellite remote sensing technology has facilitated the observation and retrieval of critical environmental parameters in the Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia. To promote academic exchange and cooperation among scholars in related fields and to discuss the latest trends, new theories, methods and achievements, the “International Symposium on Geomatics, Remote Sensing and Climate Change in the Arctic, Antarctica and High Mountain Asia” will be held at Tongji University in Shanghai, China, September 25-27, 2024.
